Gospel Concert and Week Of Outreach !

Big things are happening in Redfern in August!

How you can be involved!

Through prayer...

You can make the most immediate impact on these events by simply praying for them. Truthfully there simply cannot be enough prayer over these events and Jesus Himself promises us in John 14:13 that whatever we ask in His name He will do. Now it's true that it's possible to 'ask amiss' (James 4:3), but let me assure you that heaven has no higher priority than for the lost to hear what Jesus Christ has done for them on the cross. Simply put, God will surely answer with a resounding 'yes' to every request for these events to be blessed, let's not be a people who miss out because we do not ask (James 4:2). So please.... pray.

Attend the concert...

The next thing that you can do is to be at the Gospel Concert being held 'on The Block' on the 10th of August from 230pm to 600pm. To be a part of this you can simply turn up and enjoy the concert and mingle with the locals. Also, you can be a part of the team that will be providing lunch for the concert, talk to Judi Watts about that ministry. 

Attend the Week of Outreach...

This concert will then turn into a whole week of outreach events in Redfern including nightly church services in Redfern's 'The Way', as well as nightly programs for Redfern youth, all happening from the 11th to the 15th of August, running from 700pm to 900pm. A bus will be leaving from Fox Valley at 600pm to transport people to Redfern and back for each outreach night.

We're looking for people to be a part of these nights by taking a prayer, by taking a welcome, by an ice breaker and by being a part of the praise and worship team on the night. Be a mentor...

Also, on top of the night programs there will be nightly activities for the Redfern teens. We're looking for around 20 mentors to spend time with the youth going to various nightly activities with them. These spots are open to those who are willing to spend time with and show God's love towards the Redfern youth that God brings along. Lot's of nightly activities are planned and it will be fun so do get involved if this is something that you believe that God is calling you to be a part of.

Remember to also book with Eerik on eerik@foxvalley.org.au, if you're one of the youth you can also talk to Melissa@foxvalley.org.au, if you're a member of Mt Druitt then you can also talk to their youth pastor Christos, to secure a spot for yourself as a mentor since only 20 spots are open and it's on a first in best dressed best dressed, with StormCO participants having the first choice on a spot. 

It's gonna be a big week for us and for Redfern, don't miss out, plan to be a part of this outreach in some way even if it's only by bring earnest prayer before God over these events.
